We are Africans Preventing Poverty Foundation

The Africans Preventing Poverty Foundation (APPF) is a non-profit, nongovernmental and non-political volunteer organization registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria.

At APPF we believe posterity demand of us to create an enabling environment that will empower individuals with opportunities to make a decent living and become change agents in their immediate communities. As such members of our Board of Trustees (BoT) are committed to raise the level of development in Africa through improvements in the areas of infrastructure, energy, water, and education. This initiative is designed to positively impact the lives of young people, women and children enabling them to achieve their potentials and reach their goals through self-sustaining initiatives that improve the condition of the entire community.

Our programmes transcends status, gender, background and location with the defined target group of young people, women, and children.

We empower the individual through provision of scholarships, skills training, personal development, entrepreneurial development and self-sustaining initiatives.

We empower the community through the building of health care centers, supporting citizens education, promotion of agriculture and supports for community-based development programs including but not limited to; construction projects, employment initiatives and training programs that focus on infrastructure and human capital development.

APPF Programs are geared towards the satisfaction of physiological, safety, esteem and self-actualizing needs which works towards satisfying the requirements of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs, 1,2,3,4,5 & 6). And our Peace and Conflict Resolution Advocacy ensures an enabling environment for community development.

Together with our partners and volunteers we will work to provide job for the jobless, health care for the unwell, and provide the succour to our citizens and rescue the young people from strife, violence and despair.

Let’s Change the World, One Community at a Time.
